A new housing development in a hillside location had been provided with 3 dry wells of concrete construction serving to carry away rainwater. Checks revealed that the system was insufficient for purpose, and therefore needed to be improved by adding a solution necessarily of compact dimensions, given the limited space still available. Following an on-site inspection, Geosintex studied and sized a solution consisting of 4 ditches created using INFILTRATION TUNNEL elements in the Twin configuration (2 elements paired together so as to form a pipe with pierced walls affording a generous dispersal surface). The installation, completed in less than one working day, is guaranteed to carry away excess water rejected by the existing system of wells, should this become overwhelmed by a particularly heavy fall of rain.
