Regulations on hydraulic invariance imposed by the Lombardy regional authority state that when buildings are extended, renovated or refurbished, a study must be conducted to evaluate possible changes to the hydraulic regime existing at the site and identify suitable compensatory measures. To accompany the construction of a new shed, Geosintex proposed the use of ECOBLOC modules to create 2 dispersal basins: one serving the new building, located beneath the internal parking spaces, and the other serving adjacent vehicular access ways, located beneath a outside parking area, along the road. The product selected by the building contractor was ECOBLOC Inspect Flex, for its high load-bearing capacity and the inclusion of micro channels in the structure to allow internal inspection, but above all for its reliability, guaranteed by the international certifications it carries (BBA, DiBT, CSTB, …). The contractor was particularly impressed with the technical support provided on site during installation: an essential requirement given that it was the first time a solution of this type had been used by the company.
