SINTEXMAT® is a geomat created by bonding together 3 extruded PP geogrids, which ensures that the product will adapt perfectly to the wall of a slope while also functioning as a reinforcement and retaining backfill soil. The grid is placed on the surface and covered with a layer of soil, a few centimetres deep, which provides a substrate in which vegetation can take root and protects the grid from UV rays (the product does however have a good measure of resistance to photo-oxidation). In addition to the basic black, the grid is also available in green and brown colour finishes where a more discreet look is required. SINTEXMAT® is the ideal product in situations calling for an effective anti-erosion protection on escarpments and for a solution that blends effortlessly into the existing landscape.
Alternatively, Geosintex offers materials manufactured using biodegradable natural fibres, where the preference may be for a temporary type of solution serving purely to encourage the growth of vegetation along the slope.
PP geomat, suitable for the reinforcement of escarpments against erosion.
PP geomat bonded with a PES geogrid, coated with PVC film. Used in situations where the gradient of the slope and the covering are such as to require a reinforcing element.
Biomat made of biodegradable jute fibre, having an open mesh pattern, with weights from 125 to 500 g/m2, giving protection against surface erosion. Suitable for escarpments and reinforced soil works.
Biomat comprising a sheet of pure cellulose covered by a layer of chopped straw, providing a bed on which to scatter a mixture of seeds (65 g/m2 approx); the material is held in place by 2 ultra-thin nets of photo-decomposable PP, and retained by a running quilt-stitch. All components are biodegradable.
Anti-erosion protection on escarpment
SINTEXMAT adapts readily to the wall of a slope while also functioning as a reinforcement and retaining backfill soil. It also provides a good bed, with an eye to ensuring that the installation blends successfully into the landscape. These attributes combine to create a protection against erosion that remains effective even when applied to steep gradients.
If the project requires a biodegradable product, the options of JUTENET and STRAWMAT are also available.
