In collaboration with the Italian Geotechnical Association (AGI-IGS Section), Geosintex attended the conference on “Geotechnical aspects connected to the management of marine dredging sludges and to the contaminated sites remediation,” sharing its technical expertise on sludge management.
Engineer Mollo from Geosintex focused on the use of tubular geofilters for dewatering and treating dredged sludge, an innovative solution offering significant benefits in terms of efficiency and sustainability. This technology enables the effective separation of solids from liquids in sludge, reducing volume and thus simplifying handling and disposal.
The conference provided a comprehensive overview of the challenges and solutions in the field of sludge management and treatment, with specific presentations on the phases of characterization, design, implementation, and monitoring. Experts highlighted newly developed innovative methodologies and technologies, advancing knowledge and practices in the remediation and securing of contaminated areas.
