Technologies & systems, new road platform drainage systems
Due to heavy urbanization along Italy’s Adriatic coast, local roads are often subject to levels of congestion that are mitigated only in part by the proximity of the A14 Bologna-Taranto and A13 Bologna-Padua motorways. During the summer months, traffic becomes intense as people head for the main tourist resorts on the Adriatic. Consequently, in order to avoid the build-up of traffic in town centres, additional and alternative roads have been built, functioning as ring roads and by-passes, designed to serve residential centres in the region.
