NEWDRAIN®

Low load drainage

This is a drainage geocomposite of sandwich construction created by heat bonding a core of extruded PP monofilaments, shaped as bubbles or flutes (depending on the type), with two PP geotextiles of 100 g/m2 weight. The product is suitable for horizontal or vertical drainage applications where there is a need to handle an appreciable flow of water under light loading conditions, as would typically be the case, for example, with retaining wall structures that are not too deep, or roof gardens with shallow coverings of soil. In effect, high loads would tend to crush the drainage core and significantly reduce its flow capacity. In short, a solution providing a valid alternative to traditional drainage layers of loose gravel: with the geocomposite, there is less risk of damaging the waterproof membrane, the advantage of quicker installation and the satisfaction of ensuring a low impact on the environment.

NEWDRAIN® range

NEWDRAIN® TIPO B

Drainage geocomposite with a core of extruded PP monofilaments appearing as uniformly sized bubbles. Of 22 mm thickness, it can handle flows of around 5.5 l/m·s (with gradient i=1 and loading of 20 kPa).

NEWDRAIN® TIPO C

Drainage geocomposite with a core of extruded PP monofilaments creating a fluted structure that improves the capacity for free flow within the interface layer. Of 7 mm thickness, it can handle flows of around 3 l/m·s (with gradient i=1 and loading of 20 kPa).
